Sarah Vandeberg tennis foundation
The mission of the Sarah VandeBerg (SVB) Tennis Foundation is to provide tennis and education programming in Pasco County communities through character building, physical activity, and mentoring.
The SVB Foundation provides a free After School Tennis and Education program for grades 1- 8 at fourteen school sites. Every student who completes the eight-week program, is presented with a tennis racquet they may keep.
The SVB Foundation also conducts free community tennis play dates and clinics. They provide free training for high school student Ambassadors. During the summer, students in grades 1- 8 are invited to a free summer camp.
In addition, the SVB Foundation has developed a partnership with Love Serving Autism. This partnership allows special needs students the opportunity to participate in an After School Tennis Program through adaptive tennis.
The SVB Foundation defines their impact by the positive effect they have on each child. They believe that small changes in mindset and behavior at a young age can significantly alter a student’s entire future.
